The only point where we didn't enjoy the casino was about midnight on the Friday night - we'd returned from a meal and gambling elsewhere and were going to do some gambling at the Cosmo but it was just too busy, every single table was rammed. We tried to go to the more laid-back pool but it was closed and so, slightly warily, went to the pool aimed at the younger crowd - it was fine, though you'll need to get there early to get a lounger. Wraparound Terrace Suite Fountain View Unmatched Las Vegas fountain views from a spacious, private terrace. The room was bigger and better and the fountain view was great, though I'd mention that my main thought was that, beyond the one time you watch the fountains, it was a bit of a waste. Definitely a younger crowd, but not overwhelmingly so the vast majority of the time. As I approached the lifts I noticed that they had security outside them asking for room keys to prove you were staying there, and one of the ladies who had earlier approached me was walking away from the lifts.hmmm. One thing I'll mention is that my wife went up to the room earlier than me one night and in the next half hour, as I wandered around the casino, I was approached by three hookers - either that or they suddenly started pumping gas into the casino which made 42-year old, somewhat overweight, men irresistible to women in their early 20s! I decided to call it a night after the third approach and went to bed (just to be clear, with my wife!). The room was fine, though basic and a little tired compared to the Cosmo. The pool looked nice although we didn't try it. We both really liked the Mirage casino for the laid-back vibe. My wife and I (both 42) have just returned from a split trip where we started in a Mirage Tower Suite, went to Sedona for a week, and then came back to a Cosmo Fountain View suite (not wraparound). Can non-hotel guests use the Mirage pool? I do like the fact that there is a washer/dryer in the Cosmo suite since we are staying for so long. We also enjoy the pool during the day and I know the Mirage has a nice big lagoon pool but I don't know much about the Cosmo pool. We are the people in the check in line with a box of beer trying to get everyone around us to drink while we wait in line. I am just wondering if we fit into the scene at the Cosmo. I decided to step out and try a new place because that side of the strip is under alot of construction and its been a few years since we tried a different hotel. We usually stay at the Flamingo in a GO room with fountain view and love it. Currently it is just the hubby and I going ( we are early 30s). This will be a 6 night/ 7 day trip which is why I booked a suite. I currently have reserved at Tower suite at the Mirage and a wrap around Terrace suite at the Cosmo both cost about the same (Cosmo is $100 more).
